Dates and Fees

Weekly Classes:
Tues: Mar 27- May 29
Wed: Mar 28- May 30
Thur: Mar 29- May 31
Fri: Mar 30- Jun 1
Spring classes run for 10 weeks with no breaks.

Tuition for each class series is $140 per child. There are no family discounts. If you sign up through a charter school, the fee is $170 per child (to cover all the paperwork). Rock-it Science is an approved vendor for Ocean Grove and Connecting Waters Charter Schools.

Tuition is not refundable unless another paying student can replace your child. The only exception is if we cancel a class or if the class you request is full.

You may sign up your child for more than one class as long as they meet the age requirement.

Classes may be filmed for training or promotional purposes. Parents, siblings, and visitors in camera range may also be filmed.

How to Register for Classes
(Information below for Homeschool applies also to After-School classes.)

NEW Students: Registration for Spring 2012 classes begins Saturday, March 10.
Registration for new students opens approximately 3 weeks before each 10-week series begins. Please join our mailing list to be notified when registration opens (see the Join Our Mailing List signup box at right).

Continuing Students: Priority Registration period ends on Friday, March 9. Students who attended the previous 10-week homeschool series receive priority when registering for the next class series. See below for details.

Step One -- Fill out and email the Registration Form:

  • Download the Registration Form HERE (it's a Microsoft Word fill-in form). There is no phone registration.
  • Send the Registration Form as an email attachment to our registrar. (This is NOT the same as the PayPal payment page. The Registration Form must be filled out and emailed separately.)
  • You can also request an alternate class on your registration form. Just write "ALT" in the Tuition field for that line. If the class you want is full, we'll apply your payment to the alternate class and notify you by email. If you don't select an alternate, we'll put you on the waiting list.
  • If we are not able to place your child in a class, we'll refund your payment in full.
  • Your registration is not complete until you receive an email from us confirming that your child has been registered in the class(es) you requested.

Step Two -- Submit Tuition:

1. Online Payment via Credit Card:

  • Select your class and submit your tuition through PayPal using the pull-down menus at the bottom of this page (PayPal account not required). Credit Card payments are only accepted through PayPal.
  • Be sure to also email us the separate Registration Form.
  • Please note: We also receive mail-in registrations, so the web site may not reflect the actual number of spaces available. If the class you want is full, we'll put you on the waiting list and notify you by email.

2. Check or Money Order:

  • Mail a copy of the Registration Form with your check or money order to:

  • Please note: Registration is first-come, first-served, based on receipt of payment. We also receive online registrations, so the class you request may be full by the time we receive your check. If so, we'll put you on the waiting list and notify you by email.

3. Charter School Purchase Order:
(Be sure to download and email us the Registration Form even if you're with a Charter School.)

  • Ask your Education Specialist to request a purchase order from your charter school for $170 per 10-week class series. Rock-it Science is an approved vendor for Ocean Grove and Connecting Waters Charter Schools.
Continuing Homeschool Students Receive Priority

Priority Registration for continuing students opens approximately two weeks before general registration opens. (Summer camp students do not receive priority for homeschool classes -- these are separate class series.) Students who attended the previous 10-week Homeschool Series will be notified by email and will have automatic priority if they’re continuing in the same time slot. You do NOT need to fill out a registration form (unless you’ve changed your address, phone, email, emergency contact, etc.). Simply email us your child’s name and the class you want (include title, day and time). We’ll hold their place until general registration opens, and if we haven’t received your tuition by then, their place goes to the first person on the waiting list.

Priority Waiting List

Continuing students who want to switch to a different time slot, and siblings of continuing students, will be placed on a priority waitlist (siblings only, not relatives or friends). At the end of the Priority Registration period, we’ll add them to the class list on a space-available basis before registering new students. NOTE: If you want to switch your child to a different time slot, we’ll hold their place in their current class until we’re sure there’s a space for them in the other one. If you’re registering additional siblings, please fill out a registration form. Please include an alternate choice in case the class you want is full. (You can request this in the Comments box on PayPal or on the Registration Form.)
